  2. Congrats on being so high up that list. I'm a regular follower of your excellent blog, but I rarely comment.

The Crowfield Curse by Pat Walsh is a huge favourite of mine from this year. Also The Ostrich boys by Keith Grey and Wasted by Nicola Morgan. Oh, and Revolver by Marcus Sedgwick. And...

    But I'll stop:)

  4. Congratulations - well deserved!

A book I thoroughly enjoyed is Mary Hooper's ''Fallen Grace'', and I've been singing its praises to everyone. It has all the classic elements of a Dickens story: innocent girls cheated, wicked villains, dire poverty, social snobbery and a lovely hero. It is well written and plotted, and shows a most intriguing side to Victorian mores because a lot of the book is based around funerals. Truly fascinating!

  5. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson was a lovely book, Artemis Fowl and the Altantis Complex was pretty exciting, and Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins was a satisfying ending to the trilogy...lots of good things out this year!

  11. In comparison with you book bloggers, I'm a slow readers these days and many of the books mentioned above are still on my TBR list. BUT I just finished The Forest of Hands and Teeth and must say am now on the hunt for the next one. Absolutely loved it - and been having zombie dreams since I finished.

Belated congratulations on the list - I know the comp is over I just wanted to join the conversation ;)
