Because today is Friday, and the sun is shining here in the UK (for a change) and everyone seems secretly pleased about something, if you look at the way they smile, it lifts your own heart a litte. And I think we all need to sit back for a few moments and just love this bit of whimsy that Harper over in the States have put together, to promote Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess's upcoming children's picture book: Instructions.

That's gorgeous - simply gorgeous.
Liz, that is actually the entire story that is being showed.
Neil Gaiman is one of the most generous authors I have ever met or seen.
Charles also did the Blueberry girl drawings, and you can google Mousecircus and check under extras and you can hear Neil read that one too. A book all mothers should give their daughters.
The "short story" Instructions, was printed in the short story collection Fragile things. Neil calls it a poem.
He calls it:
"Quite literally, a set of instructions for what to do when you find yourself in a fairy tale"

What fun!
Thanks for sharing.
